About TG EAPCET

TG EAPCET-2026 (also called TS EAPCET in older usage) is the common entrance test for admission to the first year of professional courses in Telangana for 2026-27. JNTU Hyderabad conducts it on behalf of TGCHE. The Engineering (E) stream is for B.E./B.Tech, B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering), B.Tech (Dairy Technology), B.Tech (Biotechnology), B.Tech (Food Technology), B.Tech (Biomedical Engineering), B.Tech (Pharmaceutical Engineering), B.Pharm (MPC) and Pharm.D (MPC). Bachelor of Architecture is not part of this test; the booklet points candidates to NATA.

The Agriculture and Pharmacy (A and P) stream is a separate paper, not the same questions. The 2026 Agriculture and Pharmacy instruction booklet lists B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture, B.Sc. (Forestry), B.V.Sc. and A.H., B.F.Sc., B.Tech (Food Technology), B.Pharm, B.Tech (Biotechnology) (Bi.P.C.), B.Tech (Biomedical Engineering), B.Tech (Pharmaceutical Engineering), Pharm.D (Bi.P.C.) and B.Sc. (Nursing). That paper has 160 questions in 3 hours: Biology 80 (Botany 40, Zoology 40), Physics 40 and Chemistry 40, one mark each and no negative marking. Ranks in that stream use normalised marks, with ties broken by Biology, then Physics, then the older candidate. No practice test is built for that stream here.

The detailed notification says online applications opened on 19 February 2026. The Engineering test is printed as 9 May 2026 to 11 May 2026, with sessions at 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Agriculture and Pharmacy test is on 4 May 2026 in both of those sessions and on 5 May 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. A candidate sits only the session on the hall ticket. The question papers differ between sessions, and marks are normalised across sessions.

The Engineering paper has 160 objective questions of one mark each in 180 minutes. Every question has four responses and one correct answer. There is no negative mark for an incorrect answer, and an unanswered question scores 0. Mathematics has 80 questions, Physics 40 and Chemistry 40. One countdown timer shows the time left for the whole test, and the candidate may move between subjects at any time. Calculators are not allowed.

The question paper is prepared in three languages and shown in one of two bilingual forms: English and Telugu, or English and Urdu. If a translation is ambiguous, the English question is final. This practice material is in English only.

The qualifying percentage, on the normalised marks, is 25% of the maximum marks. No minimum is set for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates. Ranks are allotted only from the normalised TG EAPCET marks. For the Engineering stream, ties are broken by the normalised Mathematics marks, then the normalised Physics marks, and then by date of birth, the older candidate preferred. The registration fee for 2026 is ₹900 for one stream (₹500 for SC/ST and PH) and ₹1,800 for both streams (₹1,000 for SC/ST and PH).
